With a wonderful enclosed garden, cubby house and heaps of toys on hand the Lounge and Garden is the perfect space to meet up with friends and other little people while you get a hot drink and enjoy the scenery.

Children's Week is a favourite time of year and we are always on the lookout for grants that support us to hold events aimed at giving children a chance to get messy with art, loud with music or eat healthy food together.

The Wednesday Playgroup is a great chance to connect with other families with young children and there's a small exchange rack on site set up by Prom Coast Mums. You might like to connect with Prom Coast Mums on Facebook to see more about their Pop Up Shops or to seek equipment you may be needing. No point buying new gear when there might be a perfectly good item just needing a new home!
For those wanting some guidance on what is an important but often challenging task there's also a Thursday facilitated playgroup. Speak to the staff in the office if you'd like to know more.

Jacqueline (pictured) is a Primary Teacher who has her own young family and facilitates The Hub at Toora Primary School, meeting weekly on Thursday mornings for a coffee and a chat. The Learn Local program has been running for over four years and is tailored to support parents by bringing in a range of guest speakers to start the conversation around parenting, self-care, financial well-being and local community support. It's been a great success and won the 2019 Neighbourhood Houses Gippsland award for Community Development. There's no cost to attend and there's a supervised playgroup for parents with preschoolers.
